About us
AI Ledgerli is the outsourced finance arm of VPJ & Associates.
VPJ is a chartered accountancy firm working across audit and assurance, corporate finance, risk advisory, taxation and transaction advisory, with a team of more than a hundred and offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hosur and Jodhpur.
That means the person reviewing your monthly pack is a qualified chartered accountant who also signs statutory audits. It is a different standard of care to a bookkeeping shop, and it costs less than you would expect.
Why founders call us
Most companies outgrow their bookkeeper long before they can justify a CFO.
01
The close takes three weeks
By the time the numbers land they describe a company you no longer are. Decisions get made on instinct because the ledger is always behind.
02
Nobody owns the whole picture
A bookkeeper here, a tax agent there, and a spreadsheet the founder maintains at midnight. No single person can answer what runway actually looks like.
03
Hiring in house is a $200,000 bet
A controller, an accounts clerk and a part time CFO is most of a headcount budget, for capability you need a few days a month.

The honest comparison
Three ways to solve this. Here is where each one breaks.
| Criterion | In house hire | Local bookkeeper | AI Ledgerli |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly cost | $8,000 to $18,000 loaded | Up to $750 | $500 onwards, fixed |
| Qualified review | Only if you hire senior | Rarely | Named CA partner signs off |
| Coverage when someone leaves | You rehire, three months lost | Single point of failure | Team of four, documented SOPs |
| Scales to reporting and CFO work | Another hire | No | Change the engagement tier |
| Time to full capability | 3 to 6 months | 4 to 8 weeks | 3 weeks to first close |
Onboarding
Live in three weeks, without a migration project.
We work inside your existing stack: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, NetSuite and Tally. No portal to learn, no data held hostage.
Week zero
A partner reads your books
Not a salesperson. One of our chartered accountants reviews your last two closes and tells you plainly what is wrong and what it will cost to fix.
Weeks 1 to 2
We take over the ledger
Chart of accounts cleaned, backlog cleared, approvals mapped, and a documented standard operating procedure for every recurring task.
Week 3
First close, on the calendar
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and a short written commentary from the partner on your account, every month.
Ongoing
You scale the engagement, not the headcount
Add forecasting before a raise, diligence support during one, a fractional controller after. Same team, same context, no rehiring.
Systems & security
We work in your stack, under your controls.
Technology handles document capture, coding suggestions, reconciliation matching and exception flagging. Every judgement and every number that reaches you is reviewed by a qualified accountant.
- QuickBooks Online
- Xero
- Zoho Books
- NetSuite
- Tally
- Bill, Ramp, Brex
01
Signed engagement letter and NDA
In place before we see a single transaction, covering your data, your clients and your staff.
02
Role based access, nothing stored locally
Named users only, least privilege by default, and no client data on local machines or personal devices.
03
Your security review, completed
We will complete your vendor questionnaire, penetration test evidence request or client audit before onboarding rather than after.
Send us your last two months of books.
A partner will read them and come back with a written view: what is clean, what is not, and what we would charge to run it. No obligation, no deck.
